NEWSOld Citizens Golfing Society in 2024 Halford Hewitt Cup

The 2024 Halford Hewitt competition saw the Old Citizens Golfing Society drawn to play Chigwell in the first round, a team they had never previous played although they are an established opponent on City of London School sports fixture lists. Chigwell won the match 4-1. However, they were destined to be knocked out of the competition themselves by Bedford who had eliminated St. Paul's in the first round. As usual the Old Citizens enjoyed competing in this leading amateur golf tournament. The eventual winner of the cup was Eton.

The teams knocked out in the first round of thirty-two matches qualify to enter the Princes Plate. The Old Citizens lost to St. Paul's 2-1, and the final winner of that was Forest.
